This site is dedicated to my wonderful friend and companion, Shisha.
Shisha is a Black Lab mix, she weighs 40 lbs. and was born on June 14, 2000 (Flag Day). I got her in December of 2001, and she has changed my life…
I must admit that I am a little embarassed to say that I have never in my life been more amazed by anything except, perhaps, life itself, than my dog Shisha. I have never loved anything or anybody more in my life than my beautiful girl.
We are beautiful together. I know her and she knows me. It’s really as simple as that. And it really is wonderful.
Of course, the knowledge that I’ll probably greatly out live her is one of the saddest things about it. We are such a team. I credit her, but many friends credit me. I just nurtured and made safe the loving girl that she was and is.
****Update April 10, 2012 – Shisha died today from a tumor in her gallbladder. 🙁
She was 12.
We spent 10 solid years together 24/7. We loved, cherished, and respected each other. I knew it wouldn’t last forever, and knew that any time spent giving Shisha a belly rub was time well spent!
Words can never truly describe how we felt about each other.I will always love, and always miss my beloved Shisha.
