    • Chocolate & Coffee grinds contain Theobromine. Vomiting and diarrhea are common. Signs of Theobromine poisoning may not show up for several hours after ingestion.  Cocoa powder and cooking chocolate are the most toxic forms. Semi-sweet chocolate and dark chocolate are next, with milk chocolate being the least.
    • Onions (and to a lesser degree, garlic) contain the toxin Thiosulphate.  Poisoning occurs a few days after the pet has ingested the onion.  All onions can be a problem including dehydrated, raw, and cooked.
    • Macadamia nuts (raw and roasted) contain an unknown toxin that causes motor difficulties and weakness or paralysis of the hindquarters.
    • Fruit pits/seeds from pears, plums, peaches, apricots, and apples contain cyanogenic glycosides causing cyanide poisoning.
    • Potato peelings, “eyes”, and green looking potatoes
    •  Tomato plant green parts
    •  Rhubarb leaves
    •  Yeast dough (uncooked/unbaked)
    •  Broccoli (in large amounts)
    •  Raisins and Grapes
